WRTA Lobby to close on January 5, 2026 for Renovations
Construction on the WRTA Central Hub lobby will begin January 5, 2026, and is expected to be completed by late June 2026. During this period, the lobby will be closed to customers. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve your experience.
The renovation will increase seating, add dedicated space for mobility devices, and create a new customer service office with an exterior walk-up window, along with a designated security office, ADA intake area, restrooms, and additional office space. Beta Version of Bus Tracker Now Available
This Fall, The Worcester Regional Transit Authority will be transitioning to a new technology system to support its fixed route buses, which will improve customer facing tools and internal efficiencies. The installation of the new system is slated to begin mid-October, with a completion date of January 1, 2026. As part of our equipment upgrade process, the previous WRTA Bustracker system was taken offline in November 2025. During the transition, customers are encouraged to track their buses using the times outlined on the schedules or contact the Customer Service phoneline at (508) 791-9782. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause, but we firmly believe the new system will provide a much improved bus tracking experience. As the new technology is deployed, WRTA will provide more communication about the start date of new bus tracking options.
We are pleased to introduce the new Bus Tracker in beta mode. This upgraded platform delivers more accurate, real-time bus location information and improved reliability. While in beta, riders may notice occasional updates as we work to optimize the system. Click the Link below to access the new Bus Tracker.
