A Comprehensive Regional Transit Plan update (CRTP) is now complete, led by WRTA with support from MassDOT. This initiative will assess the current fixed-route transit system, gather input from the community, and help shape a long-term vision for improved service.
Key Objectives of the CRTP
The CRTP will focus on:
- Reviewing existing service conditions
- Conducting extensive public outreach
- Exploring potential service enhancements, including:
- Simplified routes
- Extended operating hours
- Increased service frequency
- Introduction of new route types
