Travel may become very difficult, as the snow changes over to rain. Plan on slippery roads and hazardous conditions that could impact the evening commute into the morning. Road conditions may result in delays or disruptions to bus service. Some routes may shift to designated snow routes depending on conditions.

This Fall, The Worcester Regional Transit Authority will be transitioning to a new technology system to support its fixed route buses, which will improve customer facing tools and internal efficiencies. The installation of the new system is slated to begin mid-October, with a completion date of January 1, 2026. As part of our equipment upgrade process, the previous WRTA Bustracker system was taken offline in November 2025. During the transition, customers are encouraged to track their buses using the times outlined on the schedules or contact the Customer Service phoneline at (508) 791-9782. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause, but we firmly believe the new system will provide a much improved bus tracking experience. As the new technology is deployed, WRTA will provide more communication about the start date of new bus tracking options.

We are pleased to introduce the new Bus Tracker in beta mode. This upgraded platform delivers more accurate, real-time bus location information and improved reliability. Some inbound stops in the area of Worcester City Hall have changed. Front Street & City Hall and Main Street & City Hall will serve as the last inbound stops for Routes 6, 7, 19, 27 & 33 before WRTA Central Hub. Pleasant St. & Main St. will be the last inbound stop for Routes 2, 3 & 31 before WRTA Central Hub.
