| WORCESTER, MA. June 10, 2008 — Information sessions have begun throughout Worcester to explain the Worcester Regional Transit Authority’s new Northwest FLEX Route (WRTA). Beginning on July 1 at 8 a.m., the WRTA will roll out its newest route, the Northwest FLEX Route. This 40-minute circular route will travel along Park Ave. and can be used as a regularly fixed bus route with scheduled service between major points, as well as new “flexible” services. One type of FLEX service, the By Request FLEX, allows riders who have prescheduled a trip, to travel off the route by up to a quarter of a mile throughout many neighborhoods pre-approved for travel. This one-of-a-kind service allows passengers the ability to have virtual curb-to-curb service. In addition to the By Request FLEX service, a Standard FLEX is available.The Standard FLEX service offers passengers the opportunity to travel to additional stops along the route (only one prescheduled Standard FLEX per 40-minute trip).

*Main Street (at Clark University)
*Price Rite
*Greendale Mall
