The Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) service area includes over half a million in population and is the second largest regional transit authority in Massachusetts, serving 35 communities.
The WRTA maintains a fleet of 46 buses and 10 minibuses for 23 fixed routes in Worcester and 10 of the surrounding communities.
The WRTA's newest addition, the Northwest FLEX Route, features flexible "curb-to-curb" service within the Northwest Corridor and direct access to Park Ave., which was never before available.
The WRTA also provides paratransit service for the elderly and disabled in the region, in addition to a variety of special services for elderly and disabled residents in the entire service area.

Advisory Board Meeting
The WRTA Advisory Board will meet on Thursday, August 21st at 8:30am at the WRTA. This meeting is open to the Public. Please note there is not an Advisory Board meeting scheduled in July.
"Dump the Pump"
Pass Winners
On June 19, 2008, the WRTA participated in the third annual "Dump the Pump" Day, designed to not only bring awareness to the environment, but also to help to save money, conserve gas, and help to reduce greenhouse gases. Three drawing winners each received a 31-day all zone pass from the WRTA. read more
Throughout June and July, several Listening Sessions will be held during which the WRTA will discuss the service reductions and the new FLEX route. read more
